![]() ![]() But it’s something you’re not going to find on Windows 10. Granted, the Amazon Android app store works best on tablets, and for those who like mobile games. If you try downloading it on Windows 10, the OS will try to load the legacy Groove Music app instead.Ī better example would be Windows’ new Android apps, once just a few hundred and now into the thousands, according to Microsoft and Amazon. While not all of Microsoft’s new applications seem to be reserved for Windows 11 (like the updated, worse Photos app, for example) a couple are: the spiffy new Windows Media Player, for example. Microsoft’s many development teams continue to work on parallel tracks: on the operating system itself, on Office, services, and more. Still, it’s a feature that’s exclusive to Windows 11. We can’t make too much of this, as the “feature” is really just a shortcut to the Bing site, which opens within Edge. Bing Chat appears in Windows 11’s Search feature, but not in Windows 10. Now if one of you Software Guru’s out there would like to see the whole “Get-AppxLog” full of interesting error messages for “Microsoft.AgeCastles”, leave me a message and I’ll send it to you.One of those new features is Bing Chat, the AI chatbot link that Microsoft added via its Windows 11 Feb. As I suspected, some file in “Microsoft.AgeCastles” has a problem. But it failed with my problem child with an error code of 0x80070005, Access is denied. ![]() ![]() And don’t even think about making any changes to them!īut I did discover a line of code that some software guru uses to reinstall all the apps on a machine, AppXPackage, and with the right switches man does it do a wonderful job. Of course all these folders are hidden and can’t be seen without X-Ray eyes. I found the folder WindowsApps, and in it all my apps have a folder including my problem child “Microsoft.AgeCastles”. So, I have been busy trying to find where these game apps files are in Windows 10 because I am convinced that my Age of Empire app has a corrupted file and that’s why I can’t see it in the “All Apps” listing. ![]()
